Security
Above all else, our commitment to safeguarding your data is the priority influence behind every feature and infrastructure decision we make. This is why we use Amazon Web Services, the world’s leading web service platform, to host our infrastructure and follow the strictest policy guidelines to protect your data 24/7. This is also why we’re obsessed with security and login features, constantly releasing new single sign-on and auditing capabilities and perfecting our current ones to ensure that your data is bulletproof.
Physical Security
Course Approval data are hosted in AWS data centers that have been certified as ISO 27001, PCI/DSS Service Provider Level 1, and/or SOC II compliance. AWS architecture features elastic load balancing to automate scalability and ensure that our applications are optimized for speed, high availability, and redundancy. When you use our platform to manage your course approval process, you can do so confidently knowing that your data are secured by the industry’s most advanced cloud security controls.
Network Security
Course Approval includes a dedicated rapid-response security team for 24/7 prevention monitoring and reactive response to security alerts and events. We can also use Single Sign-on to require your students to login using a specified vendor such as SAML 1.1 and (including Okta and Shibboleth) and OAuth 1.0a and 2.
Backup and Restore
Course Approval enforces strict Disaster Recovery policies including daily encrypted backups, daily testing procedures, and strategic disaster recovery planning and training to ensure that data are available and restorable in case of disaster.
Our applications are backed up on a daily basis and stored across multiple locations that are separate from the database servers. All daily backups can be restored instantly by our support staff and clients can manually export their data at any time to a CSV file.
